This fall arrest block consists of a retractable lifeline of 4.8 mm steel wire, which is stored on a spool in a protective cover. The winch is based on a spring that winds the retractable lifeline. The winch includes an inertial brake mechanism that allows the lifeline to be slowly extended and automatically retracted according to the movement of the user's body.
