This fall arrest block consists of a retractable lifeline of 4.8 mm steel wire that is stored on a spool in a protective cover. The winch is based on a spring that winds the retractable lifeline. The winch includes an inertial brake mechanism that allows the lifeline to be slowly extended and automatically retracted according to the movement of the user's body. It also includes a rotating carabiner with a double safety lock and a fall indicator.
